Design Redefined: Music, AI, and Community: In collaboration with the MIT Museum and Innovators for Purpose
Apr 30, 2026
About
What happens when AI becomes your creative collaborator?
Come explore the intersection of human and machine creativity at this hands-on event bringing together artists, musicians, and technologists. How might we apply the principles of co-design to collaborative creation with AI. Experience live demos and experiments with MIT researchers exploring these questions through a musical lens. You'll use AI tools to generate movement, sound, and ideas, then shape them into a communal performance.
No coding, or technical background required. Just curiosity.
Whether you're a dancer, a musician, a designer, or simply someone who's wondered what it feels like to co-create with an AI, this is your invitation to find out. Leave with a sense of community, and a new perspective of what's possible when humans and AI co-design.

Appropriate for high school, undergraduate, and graduate students, as well as design professionals, each session will feature a panel discussion featuring thought leaders, followed by a hands-on exploration of key design principles, light refreshments, and networking. Co-hosted by MIT MAD and Innovators for Purpose.
