Design Your Career is a reflective, action-based session that reframes professional development as a design process. Drawing on the principles of strategic design, the session helps us move beyond reactive and linear career planning toward designing multiple possible futures. Through experimentation, prototyping, and storytelling, the session introduces proactive career path design, including the possibility of creating our own opportunities and purpose-driven careers. The session empowers us to see our careers as dynamic systems we can shape, test, and evolve over time.

Participants will:

• Develop the ability to design their careers as evolving systems, not fixed paths.
• Gain agency and confidence in shaping their own professional identity.
• Learn to prototype possible futures through small experiments and projects.
• Build skills in opportunity creation, not just opportunity seeking.

This workshop is open to MIT students.
